Welcome to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum. We encourage you to visit this exquisitely detailed model panorama of railroads in the Twin Cities during the 1930s, '40s, and '50s. Our mission is to provide family entertainment for young and old alike, while preserving this era of Minnesota railroad history.
The model is an impressive sight and well worth your visit. The non-profit museum has roots dating back to 1939. Since that time thousands of volunteer hours have faithfully reproduced Twin Cities railroad history in O Scale (1/4 inch equals 1 foot).
The musuem is located in Bandana Square, a historic Twin Cities railroad building. The building was constructed in 1885 and once housed a Northern Pacific Railway repair shop. The museum address is:
1021 Bandana Boulevard East, Suite 222
Saint Paul, Minnesota 55108-5111
Phone: 651-647-9628
We are located in the north end of the Bandana Square building, on 2nd floor.
Feel free to call during normal museum hours listed on this page for additional information.
Bandana square is handicap accessible. The elevator to the 2nd floor is located at the north end of the building, near the museum. Restrooms are also located next to the museum entrance.
Parking is free and provides ample space for autos and buses.
