Night Trains® season is a special Holidays tradition at the Twin City Model Railroad Museum. Night Trains runs from October 2025 through February 2026 with additional bonus nights noted below.
What is Night Trains? The museum’s collection of model trains of all scales and toy trains of yesteryear come alive throughout the Museum (Sorry, no real trains to board and ride on!). Night Trains Season magic begins as the lights are turned down and the buildings and street lights glow warmly, setting the scene for specially lighted models of operating vintage passenger trains. The make believe towns are buried in snow and holiday decorations are set up all over the towns. Uniquely decorated trains will run on the layouts and special holiday-only layouts will also be on display.
Hours and Admission
Every Saturday from November 8th, 2025 to February 28, 2026. The event runs from 3:00pm to 7pm, tickets will be sold for 2 hour time blocks. $15 per guest, children 4 and under are free.

- Bonus Spooky Trains night on November 1st!
- We are slowly switching from Halloween trains to winter decorations and then to Christmas decorations.
- Bonus Night Trains on Black Friday, November 28th from 3-7!
December
- Santa dates Dec. 13th and 20th! Get a picture with in and let him know what’s on your list.
- Bonus Night Trains Events on the Monday and Friday of the weeks during, and after Christmas. (Dec. 19th, 22nd, 26th, 29th, and January 2nd)
- Great River Valley System traveling N Scale layout will be on display in the front conference room for Night Trains on Dec. 19th and 20th!
January
- Christmas decorations will start coming down on January 25th but we will maintain winter decorations through February.
