Admission Fees and Hours

Monday: 10am – 3pm 

Friday: 10am – 3pm

Saturday: 10am – 5pm (March-October 8th) & 10-2 and 3-7 for Night Trains™ (October 15th – Feb.)

Sunday: 12pm – 5pm

Daytime Admission:

Adults $10 (5 years and older)

Children 4 and under are FREE!

Family and group rates:
First two at $10 a piece, the rest of your group is half off up to 10 people
Example: A family of 4 would cost $30

Night Trains Admission:

$15 per guest, kids under the age of 4 are free.

*Hours and rates are current as listed and are subject to change without notice. We are closed on Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Notice: Masks are recommended but not required for all guests. 
Tickets are always fully refundable if you are unable to attend.

The Transfer Road facility is handicap accessible, restrooms are also provided.

Parking is FREE and provides ample space for cars and buses.

The museum is conveniently located between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul. From Interstate 94, take the Cretin/Vandalia exit and go north on Cretin/Vandalia 3 blocks. Turn right (east) onto University Avenue and go 1 block. Turn left (north) on Transfer Road. The museum entrance is just after the railroad tracks on your right. (east side of Transfer Road).

Take the Bus!

Halloween Night Trains – October 15th, 22nd and 29th from 3-7 pm

Night Trains – Each Saturday from November – February (except Christmas Eve) from 3-7 pm
